Property sale and lease transactions in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh (which is taken to be Ghaziabad and Noida) noticed a general decline in May 2022, compared to the numbers in April.
The decline observed was minimal, however, with sales transactions declining by 3.43% on average in May, compared to the volume in April, and lease transactions declining by 4.69% on average in the same period.
Noida Saw the Largest Decline in Sales Transactions MoM
Property lease registrations have seen a marginal decline in all geographies observed except in Ghaziabad, where a marginal increase was observed.
Ghaziabad Has Seen an Increase in Lease Transactions MoM
It was seen that relatively smaller properties (with floor space less than 1500 square foot) saw the most number of sales transactions in all geographies observed.
Properties With Area Less Than 1500 sq ft Drove Sales Volume
Taking a closer look at the distribution of sales transactions geographically, the following trends were observed:
- Localities with a predominant share of residential sales transactions, such as Dwarka, and Uttam Nagar, were concentrated to the western regions of Delhi.
- Commercial sales transactions in Delhi were concentrated to the central regions of the city, with localities such as Karol Bagh, and Chandni Chowk emerging as top choices.
- Localities with the most number of sales transactions in Noida, such as Greater Noida, and Chhapraula, lie in the north-western parts of the city.
- For Ghaziabad, property sales were strong in the north-eastern parts of the city, with Loni and Vaishali emerging as top localities.
